Those Wishing Buhari Death Are Enemies Of Nigeria- Kogi Gov

Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State has carpeted those propagating death rumours about President Muhammadu Buhari as the real enemies of Nigeria.
The governor who gave the caution through a message to the Apapo Omo Yagba Congress held at Isanlu over the weekend through his Director General on Media and Publicity, Kingsley Fanwo said the nation doesn’t have any benefit from such “evil wishes against the President”.
Bello said, “The emergence of President Buhari at this critical period of our nation’s economy is a big blessing. The President has confronted the recession in the nation with all the deserved seriousness to lift her off the woods.
“Every leader is installed by the Almighty Allah to help humanity and advance the wishes of God over the people. The Holy Books urge us to pray for our leaders. The injunction is for our benefit because when leaders act right, the people will reap the fruits. Wishing a person dead because of political, ethnic or religious difference is a sin and I will urge all those who wish the president dead to seek for forgiveness from God.
“All of us must face the current realities. The president has come out to say he is hearing the voices of the people. We have a President who will stake everything to bring us back to reckoning. The grandiose corruption of the past is the reason we are suffering today. But the President is not complaining but taking the right steps to help our nation”.
Governor recalled that peddlers of death rumour had also taken on him when he traveled to Germany on a working holiday where he met with development partners of the state.
His words: “It happened to me when I travelled to Germany on a ‘working holiday’. I visited our development partners and also took time out to undergo a minor surgery on my eye. Rumour went round that I had died. But today, we are serving the people of the state with all of our vigour and passion.
“I have a supreme confidence that under our anti-corruption President, Nigeria shall rise again. Corrupt people are uncomfortable with the President we have but the people of Nigeria, who understand the root of our current economic travails, are supportive of our President in his drive to salvage our nation.
“We are already witnessing progress and our party is already delivering the goodies. We are focused on delivering democracy dividends now and very soon, the fruits of our labour shall manifest”.
The governor called on the President not to be fazed by the “evil wishes” of those who wish him dead in order for corruption to rise again in our nation”.
He hailed the National Assembly for their “maturity and commitment to a greater Nigeria”, saying Nigerians have faith in the president and that the president will always bank on the support of the people in taking decisions that are of  common good to Nigerians.
