Herdsmen Attack Again In Benue Killing 2 NNPC Officials

Armed men suspected to be Fulani herdsmen have attacked and killed an official of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, NNPC at Tse Torkula, Benue State. The deceased was working on the petroleum pipeline with his colleagues in the area. According to Vanguard, the NNPC officials were busy working on the pipeline between Benue and Nasarawa state when they came under heavy fire from the armed men. Some of the officials were also injured and hospitalized. The Benue state Police Commissioner, Fatai Owoseni, who confirmed the incident, said the attack could be regarded as the handiwork of bandits operating in the said areas. ...

The Emir of Kano , Muhammadu Sanusi II has admitted being a patron of the Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria, MACBAN. The Defence Headquarters (DHQ) has explained why the military was yet to rescue the University of Maiduguri (UNIMAID) lecturers, oil workers and women abducted by Boko Haram terrorists.
