Taraba State Governor, Arc. Darius Ishaku has debunked the insinuations emanating in some quarters that his administration is not operating an open door policy, saying his administration has reach out to all people of the state.
Ishaku, who spoke to in Jalingo through his chief press secretary, Alhaji Hassan Mijinyawa stated that since his assumption of office, his administration has not ignored the ideals of the people.
He explained that his administration has utmost respect for all stakeholders including those that contributed to his victory in the last 2015 general elections and maintained that he has within one year in office, touched all sectors of the state economy.
“It is on record that ex-governor Nyame left structures on ground, like the Taraba State Specialists Hospital, Jalingo stadium, the Jalingo airport among others. It is a fact that the Jalingo airport has not been neglected by governor Ishaku. He installed navigational facilities and other equipment to make the Jalingo airport operational with regular commercial flights every week.
“Even the college of nursing and midwifery that was closed for over ten years and the project on the permanent site was stalled since 2012, within just one year in office, Ishaku mobilized contractors to site and then secured formal accreditation for the college from the nursing council of Nigeria,” he explained.
The media aide emphasized that governor Ishaku should be commended for reaching out to the rural people through the rescue team watch populated by the special advisers and special assistants assigned to each ward of the state.
