Governor of Anambra State, Willie Obiano, on Tuesday emerged the candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance in the November 18 poll in the state.
The governor, who was the sole contestant in the primary, polled 1,070 “yes” votes from a total of 1,092.accredited delegates.
Meanwhile, the United Peoples Party, Anambra State chapter, on Tuesday suspended two governorship aspirants in the party, Osita Chidoka and Mr. Chudi Ofodile.
Chidoka is a former Minister of Aviation while Ofodile is a former member of the House of Representatives.
Also suspended were the National Treasurer of the party, Flint Obiekwe and Nwabueze Anyichie, deputy national secretary.
They were suspended for alleged anti-party activities aimed at undermining the authority of the state executive.
