Reaching us now from our Ekiti state correspondence is that some armed Policemen and APC thugs now moving round Oye, Ikole, Ijero, Ado, Ikere and Irepodun/Ifelodun LGs embarking on sporadic shootings in all towns and villages in the Local Councils.
According to report the idea is to create FEAR in the minds of the people so that most PDP supporters will be afraid to come out to vote.
Though this is ongoing, the people have resolved to come out and vote today not minding the harrasment and intimidation.
Meanwhile, Prof Kolapo Eleka, candidate of the People Democratic Party (PDP) in the Ekiti State governorship election is currently unable to cast his vote, as the Permanent Voter Card(PVC) reader failed at his polling booth.
Our correspondence gathered that at Ikere ward 2 unit 6, said upon arrival at the polling unit, Eleka made his way to the polling unit for accreditation but was unable to do so, as the card reader failed.
INEC rule has it that prospective voters must be accredited before voting, meaning that Eleka may not vote if this card reader issue is not resolved.
However, his major opponent, Dr Kayode Fayemi, the All Progressive Congress(APC) was successful accredited in his Oye LGA at about 10.19am and ready to cast his vote.
