On friday the were indications that the northern caucus of the PDP might not be attending the party's national convention slated for december 9 with one voice. This is because leaders from the northern region have showed up with different aspirants vying for the position of the PDP national chairman. The position had already been zoned to the southern region, while the presidential ticket went to the North. On Tuesday 28th of Novenber, The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission closed its case in the trial of a Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Mr. Dele Belgore, who was charged with money laundering. Mr. Rotimi Oyedepo, The prosecuting counsel for the EFCC, told the court that the anti-graft agency had decided to drop its case after calling two witnesses and tendering a number of evidence.
